Now I've finally managed to upgrade to FSX
I've got Just Flight Photographic Scenery.
Vol 2: Central & Southern England.
Vol 3: Wales & South West England.
Vol 4: Northern England.
and
British Airports: Wales & West Midlands.
All for MSFS 2004.
If anyone's interested PM me.

After I upgraded to FSX, I put the new (designed for FSX) scenery programs on.
They slow the program down tremendously, I have a good graphics system and multimedia processer (designed for Vista) and still had the problem.
You seem to iether opt for a wonderful and accurate pictorial display with slow/juddering action or really good action using the FSX graphics - in my opinion and experience.
I removed all my add on scenery and opted for a better display - what a waste of money.
Thought...Why doesn't someone design a keyboard with a little joystick on it, one of the reasons that I don't use the flight simm is that I can't be bothered to connect the joystick and I won't leave it connected so that my desktop is not cluttered (it is cluttered enough already)

When I first got FSX (christmas 2006) it ran like a dog, so off it came and FS2004 was reinstalled with all the photo scenery and it has done stirling service until I got my new computer last month.
From the start the computer was specified to run FSX, I sourced the parts and built it myself.
It's the fastest dual core with 2Gb memory and a 1GB graphics card and SATA drives throughout.
It still takes a while to load all the scenery at startup but after that it runs smoothly with most of the tweaks on high or medium and produces constant frame rates in excess of 20.
I tried a joystick but I've now got a yoke and pedals, its much easier and the realism is there.
I see there is now an airports addon but only for southern england, I hope the Wales one will not be too long in coming.
